Before and After Web Design - Quality Cage Case Study
Over the years I have found that we get two types of web design clients. 1) Those who don't have a website at all or 2) they have a website, but hate it.
Josh from Quality Cage was in the latter category. After taking over his grandfather's manufacturing business he decided to give the Quality Cage brand a refresh to be more congruent with how they wanted the world to view them: Quality, modern, and forward thinking.
As part of the brand redesign, we also gave their outdated website a major overhaul. Here are the before and after web design screenshots for comparison...
Design Makes All the Difference
The differences between these two sites is almost startling. Before, Quality Cage had an outdated, clunky site that wasn't very user-friendly or mobile responsive. It was difficult to navigate, didn't offer information very accessibly, and generally provided a poor user experience. Not to mention it was not very aesthetically pleasing.
After we got done with it, it was slick, modern, fully mobile responsive, and provided a smooth user-experience. Further, the aesthetic communicates Quality Cage's brand perfectly.
To be fair, the "before" type of site is pretty common in certain industries, manufacturing being one. The old school guys running those companies didn't come up in a digital world so having a pretty, user-friendly website just wasn't that high on the priority list.
But, we have to keep up with the times and to Josh's credit, he understands this. Bringing his brand up to current times wasn't just a nice thing to have, it's something that will help drive his business moving forward.
It's no secret that consumers (both B2C and B2B) are on their smart phones, on the web, and forging new digital social connections that just didn't exist 15 years ago. It's a brave new world and we have to flow with the direction of the digital wind.
